Welcome to AYSO Region 350 Tucson, AZ

Programs offered

Playground

This is a motor development program for 3 -5 year olds with to develop Fundamental Motor Skills. . This is not a soccer development clinic to pre-start children into the next soccer great. We have designed a motor skills clinic to engage children. This is a AYSO nationally conceived clinic that our region would like to develop for the parents in our region. This is a 9 – 10 -week parent+child program with a new theme each week. It is design to meet once a week for an hour. Children will receive a region t-shirt. Program Schedule will be determined based on field availability.

School Yard (Formerly Jamboree U5)

This is a parent+child program for 4- 5 year olds. In Jamboree each child will have a parent (or other adult) with them on the field. The children continue to develop Motor Skills while introducing soccer skills like kicking and dribbling the ball, but in a low-pressure setting. Playground is about exposing children to soccer, not grooming them for college scholarships.  Program Schedule will be determined based on field availability.

Core Soccer Program

Our core program is the foundation for all the fun, excitement and learning that happens on the fields. AYSO is best known for our core program – it’s where the large majority of kids fall in love with soccer and make memories that will last a lifetime.

There are six core values – or what we call AYSO’s Six Philosophies – that are the foundation of our core program, and all others: Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship and Player Development. These are the essence of AYSO and it all starts with Everyone Plays.

For Fall 2020 The Core Soccer program will function as a Jamboree program, however it will continue into February or March of 2021.  Therefore we will not have a Winter/ Spring Season as the fall season will cover these dates as well.    Travel Teams may be formed based on interest in playing in tournaments.

Tournament Teams

AYSO Region 350 offers players a chance to play in Tournaments by trying out and being accepted to a Tournament or Travel Team.  Players in this program play on a balanced team in the Core Program during the regular season and they play on a Tournament Team for the Tournament season.

The Tournament Teams give the players a chance to play at a higher level of play and have additional coaching/training on skills to develop into better players.  Tournament Teams are a great place to develop skills for those looking to tryout for a Challenge Team.  The Tournament season starts in the Fall and continues to Spring.  Region 350 will hold tryouts for Tournament teams at the beginning of the Fall Season and at the end of the fall season.  Players can attend either or both of the tryouts.

There are additional costs to the Tournament program.  Participants must pay for their own uniforms and the team must pay for each tournament that they play in.  The funds for these tournaments can be paid by the participants, by fundraising or sponsorship.  Each team must have a designated team treasurer that works with the Region Treasurer to track the teams funds.    A Tournament Team Registration Fee is charged for each new participant that includes the cost of purchasing the Players Uniforms and money for the first tournament..

AYSO Alliance

The AYSO Alliance program offers highly skilled coaches/trainers fully dedicated to the development of our youth.

The competitive program consists of a longer season with more opportunities for competition via tournaments and cup play. The season typically starts at the beginning of July with training and tournament preparation, various local and travel tournaments, regular PCJSL league in the Fall (September through November) and Winter (December through March), and post league tournaments.

In Tucson the AYSO Alliance teams are made up of players from all of the local regions. Players must tryout and be chosen for these highly competitive teams. Depending on age and gender practice may be held in any part of Tucson. Games may be played anywhere in Arizona with an emphasis on playing locally. The costs associated with AYSO Alliance differ from that of the Core program.
